A Weekend Packed With Heart-Pounding Air Performances & Family Friendly Activities

The men and women who work and serve on MacDill Air Force Base invite you to Tampa Bay AirFest 2020 (March 28-29, 2020). It is our honor and privilege to host this free event which will feature an amazing variety of military and civilian flight performances (including the United States Navy Blue Angels). Tampa Bay AirFest 2020 promises to be a weekend packed with heart-pounding air performances and family-friendly activities showcasing all five branches of the United States military as well as our first responder agencies. This two-day event is your chance to get up close and personal with military/civilian aircraft and pilots!

MacDill Air Force Base is privileged to have called the Tampa Bay region home for over 80 years and we are proud of the superb relationship we share with the surrounding communities of Tampa Bay.  While the great flying weather in Tampa Bay plays a crucial role in the training and operations we conduct, it is the outstanding support of our Tampa Bay community that is the real key to our continued success. It is your patriotic support and hospitality that enable us to execute our global air refueling mission. AirFest is one small way to say "Thank You" for your unwavering support of the base and our personnel. Although General Admission is FREE, a limited amount of Premium Seating Tickets are available while supplies last. Bus Transportation

New for 2020 is an expedited HART route for those who don’t want to deal with the increased traffic associated with AirFest. After years of experience dealing with the incredible high demand for transportation into Tampa Bay’s AirFest, we have created your best option to travel to and from Tampa Bay’s premier aerial experience.  We’ve learned a lot of lessons over the years, and now let us get you through AirFest traffic while you relax in air-conditioned comfort. Busses will drop-off and pick-up right next to the AirFest entrance.  The best way to utilize this expedited service is to use ride-share to get to Britton Plaza or Marion Transit Center and ride the Route 360 Limited Express (see attached map).  The busses will run every 15 minutes between Britton Plaza and the Base throughout the day.
